Description

The Horizon Europe project HEATWISE, involving twelve research and industry partners from eight countries, aims to recover waste heat from IT infrastructure in buildings and integrate it into the building's heating system. The project will implement multi-objective control algorithms in four pilot plants, including buildings at Aalborg University in Denmark. "The goal is a zero waste principle," explains Binod Koirala from Empa's Urban Energy Systems lab. The project, which started in 2024, will run for three years. (Summary provided by Infomedia).
