Description
This dataset (.csv and .xlsx files) contains the measurements of temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, air pressure, airflow, water flow (water consumption) and energy use of a desiccant evaporative cooling system during operation in an office building located in Denmark during spring and summer 2022 (from the 8th of May 2022 to the 1st of September 2022) with a measurement time step of 30 seconds. This desiccant evaporative cooling system provides fresh air, cooling, heating and relative humidity regulation to condition a quarter of an office building (university building).
The main stated technical characteristics of this air handling unit with desiccant evaporative cooling (according to the manufacturer) are as follows:
- Nominal airflow rate: 15 000 m3/h.
- Maximum cooling power delivered to the building: 78 000 W.
- Minimum supply air temperature delivered to the building in cooling mode: 17 °C.
- Electrical use for fans, water treatment and humidifiers: 3 340 W.
- Heat use for cooling process at maximum load: 62 000 W.
- Evaporative cooling process power use at maximum load: 65 340 W.
- Water use for evaporative cooling process at maximum load: 81 Liter/h.
- Summer indoor temperature setpoint for cooling (ventilation regulation at room level): 23 °C.
