Project Details
Description
Positions of minke whales are modelled using a Neyman-Scott point process. The observed positions of whales are regarded as an independent thinning of the Neyman-Scott process using location dependent detection probabilities depending on distance from line transects. Model parameters are estimated using MCMC MLE methods for missing data likelihoods. Cooperation with Tore Schweder, Oslo University.
