    Abstract

    Appointed by the Government, the Urban Committee launched economical, physical and social initiatives in approximately 500 urban districts and housing areas with social problems. This evaluation report focuses on social activities. On the basis of questionnaires addressed to the involved municipalities, tenants' advisors and section boards the results of the initiatives were evaluated. Moreover, different problems and types of initiates were studied from resident viewpoint with a representative interview survey in 40 selected housing estates.
