Abstract
In this paper two interleaved topologies with modified modulation techniques are proposed for single-phase application. Two modified modulation techniques based on maximum boost control technique and quasi-sinusoidal modulation strategy are proposed for the interleaved topology. The proposed interleaved topologies are validated with simulation using PSIM software and the simulation results are compared with interleaved quasi-z-source inverter topology. The comparison results show that the proposed topologies perform better using quasi-sinusoidal modulation technique. The interleaved quasi-switched boost inverter topology has the advantage of reduced passive components with higher output power compared to interleaved quasi-z-source inverter topology. The benefits of interleaved active quasi-z-source inverter topology are better utilization of the dc-link and higher efficiency.
