Abstract
The paper discusses understandings of the various, sometimes double-edged, possibilities of new information technologies in relation to teaching intercultural communication. Positioning ourselves in critical intercultural communication research, the paper will discuss how various areas of IT use are opening up different possibilities in the development of intercultural learning and education.
