Our research – what we do?
Our research is focused on medical microbiology and immunology analyzing the intimate interplay between bacteria and the immune system / between the immune system and cancer development using state-of-the-art molecular and immunological methods
How does our research contribute to societal health challenges?
Our research goals are to understand the molecular interplay between bacteria and the immune system / cancer cells and specific immune cells to contribute to understanding how disease develops and how this knowledge can be used in treatment and prevention of disease.
Who are our key collaborators?
Clinical Departments at Aalborg University Hospital and North Denmark Regional Hospitals; Clinical Departments at Odense University Hospitals at University of Southern Denmark; Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University; Boston Children’s Hospital, and Harvard University, Boston, MA, USA.
