NORSSHVALUE: Towards a Nordic Perspective on the Public Value of Social Sciences and Humanities Research

Projektdetaljer

Lægmandssprog

There is increasing dissatisfaction in the ways that social sciences & humanities research’s public impact is understood the Nordic countries, reflecting the fact that many concepts uncritically applied reflect past opportunistic policy choices in the US, Netherlands and UK. This project seeks to conceptualise a specifically Nordic perspective on SSH research impact, reflecting the specific characteristics of Nordic contexts as well as the manifold ways in which SSH research creates essential (must-have) rather than merely elective (nice-tohave) societal benefits. The three workshops bring together experts and more junior researchers in science, innovation, philosophy and societal development studies.
