Abstract
Provided are a method and an apparatus for detecting and providing information related to a blood vessel included in a medical image. A method for providing a medical image of a medical image apparatus includes the steps of: obtaining blood vessel information of a blood vessel within a medical image; and displaying the medical image. The step of obtaining blood vessel information includes the steps of: within a first region-of-interest (ROI) set in a first location within the medical image, determining a diameter and an angle of a blood vessel within the ROI and detecting a birucation and a crossover; and tracing the blood vessel.
