Abstract

The AnyBody Modeling System (AMS) performs simulation of the musculoskeletal system of humans, animals, robots, and other mechanical systems comprised of relatively rigid segments, which articulate at connected joints. The system contains algorithms for prediction of the muscle actions that drive the motions. The combination of models, algorithms, and subject-specific parameters provides a biomechanical digital twin with open-ended opportunities to understand an individual's musculoskeletal system. This chapter presents the functionality of the system, the design choices behind it, and the digital patient potential of the technology. All examples are produced with AMS.
