title = "High performance current controller for particle accelerator magnets supply",
abstract = "The electromagnets in modern particle accelerators require high performance power supply whose output is required to track the current reference with a very high accuracy (down to 50 ppm). This demands very high bandwidth controller design. A converter based on buck converter topology is used in this paper. The paper presents a model of the converter which enables the design of high performance controller using a proportional-integral controller and a feedforward gain. Experimental and simulation results are presented with resistive and inductive load which verify the system requirement using the proposed approach of the system model and controller design.",
