Description
A high level stakeholder meeting was held in Copenhagen in pursuit of initiating a research and policy development action in global fashion industry in particular Bangladeshi garments industry with a link to European Fashion Brands. I chaired the programme and have presented in the meeting. Among other participants and presenters, President Mr. Faruque Hassan and directors of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Associations (BGMEA), Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh Ms. Winnie Estrup Petersen, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark Mr. M. Allama Siddiki, Sustainibility Head of Danish Fashion and Textile Association (DM&T) Marie Busck, and researchers from Aalborg University Business School, Access2Innovation, and Copenhagen Business School attended the meeting. This was held in connection with circular economy in Bangladeshi apparel industry project funded by Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This five-year long socio-economically impactful project worth 12 million Danish Kroner grant aims to start in October 2022.| Period | 9 Jun 2022 |
