Description

Troels Pank Arbøll, a professor at the University of Copenhagen, and his wife, Aalborg University ecologist Sophie Rasmussen, have published a commentary in the journal Science that pushes back the earliest documentation of kissing by 1,000 years. The couple consulted cuneiform texts on clay tablets from Mesopotamia and Egypt for clear examples of intimate kissing. "Kissing was not a custom that emerged abruptly in a single point of origin," explains Mr Arbøll.
