Research profile

Fabio Saggese received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. degrees, both cum laude, in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2015 and 2018, respectively. Later, he received a Tuscany region funded research grant under the Nefocast project, working on signal processing algorithms for rain rate estimation based on satellite signal measurements. He received the Ph.D. title in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa on April 2022, defending a thesis titled "Optimization algorithms for physical layer in 5G and beyond wireless networks" insigned as the best PhD Thesis defended at an Italian University in the areas of Communications Technologies from GTTI. Since November 2021, he has worked at the Connectivity Section of the Department of Electronic Systems, Aalborg University, Denmark, where is recruited as a PostDoc since November 2022. His research concerns wireless communication for future-generation networks in resource allocation, Machine Learning for communication, Radio Access Network slicing, and Reconfigurable Intelligence Surfaces-aided communications.
