Project Details

Description

For the recent years each spring the Section of Acoustics has been visited by high school classes. From the perspectives of the high school, the purpose is to include the discipline "acoustics" in the teaching of the pupils within the subjects of biology and physics. The activities are based on workshops. The classes are divided into subgroups which by turn visit the workshops. Each place an introduction to the topic is given and it is then up to the group itself to measure, calculate and take notes which can be used directly for subsequent writing of biology and physics reports. The workshops deal with basic theories and practical matters on wave propagation and interference, reverberation, binaural techniques, infrasound, audiology and sound perception.
