Abstract

In this book, we make the first attempt to explore business model innovation (MBI) of de-internationalization and re-internationalization of the firm. Understanding how firms building on their de-internationalization experience can reconfigure their business models to pursue re-internationalization is vital to firms’ growth and survival. However, there is scarcity of theoretical and empirical knowledge of this relationship in academia, policy and practice.
While the contribution of the book is the development of an inter-disciplinary framework of MBI of de-internationalization and re-internationalization, the book also facilitates and encourages future dynamic scholarly conversations and research, policy and sustainability debates on the foundations and outcomes of BMI of de-internationalization and re-internationalization phenomenon.
