Abstract

Patient can be involved in research in various ways in order to better research. In this study the aim of the public involvement was to be responsive to the lived experiences of spouses living with a partner with dementia.

A Panel consiting of a caregiver group for spousal caregivers, representing all stages of dementia.

The panel group qualified the lay perspective on spouses lived experiences living with a partner with dementia. The panel group participated on a joint meeting with the researcher involved in the projekt and discussed the aim and findings of the project. Particularly the panel group participated in developing a interviewguide and qualified the lay perspective.
