ABS leads innovative BlueBARGE cold ironing project

Aalborg University is part of the BlueBARGE consortium, which is developing a new method for docked ships to use electrical power, known as cold ironing. The project aims to reduce local pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The consortium will address challenges related to electrical integration, platform interfacing with ships, ports, and local networks, as well as operational safety and regulatory compliance.
