Kort og kortlægning i en samfundsmæssig kontekst

At all times mapping has been a technological challenge that for different reasons has invoked a special interest. In previous articles and conference contributions I have, in connection with the presentation of the maps and mapping of different ages, tried to link the maps partly to the technology of the age in question and partly to events in the society, which might have influenced mapping. This has been done in the present article which partly presents examples of maps and mapping from the latest 45 years and partly gives a bid for the future production and use of map data (geospatial data).
