Description

The opposition party the Liberal Party has proposed that the Danish state should sell its shares in Ørsted's wind energy division to finance the party's climate plans, amounting to DKK 60 billion. The proposal has come as Denmark is heading for a general election. However, according to Per Nikolaj Bukh, professor at the Department of Economics and Management at Aalborg University, the sale would not be able to finance the Liberal Party's climate plans: "That is not going to happen. It would not solve any financing problems in Denmark," he says. (Summary provided by Infomedia) Sources: Energy Monitor, 31-10-2022 99 News Buzz, 31-10-2022
