Description of impact

Together with Aalborg Municipality the "Shared Oral Care"-project seeks to treat the increasing needs of oral care among elderly citizens. This investigation displays a quality of life impact as nursing home residents experience better oral hygiene with Shared Oral Care. The project also creates a social impact, as professionals obtain knowledge and competencies, which enables maintaining good oral hygiene among nursing home residents. At the same time, the project contributes with an economic impact, as the results of the project are incorporated in relevant municipal budget negotiations.
