  • 20+ years research experience in Thermal/Fluids Science & Engineering. Research expertise & interest includes: (1) Advanced CFD of turbulent reacting multiphase flow systems; (2) Clean & efficient biomass/coal combustion technologies for heat and power generatio; (3) Oxy-fuel combustion for CCS; (4) Smart calcination of clay for effective supplementary cementitious materials; (5) Icing on wind turbines in cold regions; (6) Biomass pyrolysis and gasification for biofuel production; (7) Cooling of electronics; and so on.
  • 44 peer-reviewed articles published in prestigious journals in WoS SCI with total impact points over 235: (1) Sole/first author of 24, corresponding author of 34; (2) H-index = 22 based on Web of Science (WoS) Science Citation Index (SCI) (favorably higher H-index & more citations in other scientific databases such as Google Scholar and/or Scopus).
  • 70+ peer-reviewed papers published in other journals not registered in WoS SCI database or in conference proceedings: First/sole author of most of them. 2 book chapters: Sole author of both.



  • 20+ years teaching experience in Thermal/Fluids Science & Engineering, teaching almost all the core courses in this area at all different levels (for batchelor, master and PhD students): (1) Winner of "Teacher of the Year" for a few times in Aalborg University, on the M- and/or E-Study Board as well as on the Faculty level; (2) Nominee for quite some other times.
