Project Details

Description

In tourist areas it is not always possible to discharge sewage to the sanitary sewage system. Wastewater discharged from tourist areas is characterized by a large variability of flow due to seasonality. Such conditions make it difficult to continuously obtain the required quality parameters. The problem is broad, where local problem could start improving the global situation and the intention is to solve more similar problems in other fragile locations in the Baltic Sea Region. The project demonstrates potential for a high macro-regional impact. Finding a universal wastewater technological solution adapted to tourist areas would reduce the nutrients inputs to the sea
