Description

The purpose with this thesis is to make an up-to-date and in-depth analysis of the legal position of de facto unions in Denmark on the area of family property law and to investigate the need for one comprehensive regulation in the area. Furthermore, legislation from jurisdictions that have already legislated in the area will be analysed with the purpose of investigating if Denmark, and other countries that potentially want to legislate in the future, can make use of the experiences, both good and bad, that the concerning jurisdictions have made in connection with legislating in the area. It is expected that these analyses will contribute to the construction of some concrete legislative proposals for a future Danish legislation.
