Abstract

The book To Stand in the Openness. Bildung through Philosophical Presence and Wonder is a philosophical and pedagogical investigation about what it means to stand in and practice a "Community of Wonder" in a guidance and educational situation in professional education and higher education. With inspiration from existential phenomenology and philosophical hermeneutics Dr. Finn T. Hansen argue and show trough "lived experiences" in Philosophical Counselling, how these Communities of Wonder can help us to be in contact and dialogue with the ontological and existential dimension of guidance and education in professional and higher education. The book is also a critique of the social constructivisme and its learning theory and a presentation of a learning theory which is based on a "Being-approach", that is, on a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach (Arendt, Gadamer, Max Van Manen, Løgstrup)
