Abstract
Critical aspects on millimeter wave (mmWave) antenna integration and performance characterization for 5th generation (5G) mobile device have been reviewed in this paper. The influence of the device housing on the antenna performance is presented, and the corresponding performance characterization from 3GPP has been given. A practical example of an antenna system for a mobile device will also be shown at the end of the paper.
