Problem Based Learning in Engineering Education: a New International Master's programme for Staff Development

Abstract

This paper describes a recent EU-project from five European Institutions. The aim was the development and implementation of a new international Master’s programme for staff development, directed towards the introduction of Problem Based Learning methods in the field of engineering education. The paper includes an overview of the programme and a description and analysis of the first practical teaching experiences.
