    Abstract

Recent trans-architectural trends emphasize the fluid and trans-medial nature of form; the static architectural structures are challenged by dynamic interactive structures.. Being part of a faculty focusing on Architecture and Design we wanted to better grasp the idea of trans-medial form and started playing with the new form finding concepts. During this work we engaged in a collaborative project within the healthcare domain and decided to apply trans-medial form finding concepts to the challenge of designing a game interface scaleable from Virtual Reality immersion to diminutive body worn gadgets. This paper presents our investigation of the interplay of visual form, movement and interactive sound. We started on this walkabout with the intension to explore trans-medial form and at the first crossroad we went down the game path. We continued to the film path and even touched on music. With a little help from cognitive science we continued to frame a trans-medial conceptual model and then found a compatible narrative system in the intersection of literature and anthropology.
