Description
The overall aims of this PhD project “Music Therapy & Health Economics” are to gain knowledge of this interdisciplinary field, to stimulate a debate about the importance of health economics within the music therapy profession and to add innovative and useful research to the existing body of research.
Therefore, the objectives of this project are
• to provide a broad state-of-the-art overview of the body of research on music therapy concerning this interdisciplinary field,
• to conduct a social return on investment analysis (SROI) in a specific field of music therapy provision in Austria, aiming to enrich the existing body of research, and
• to provide an application guide to potential ways of integrating health economics measurement tools into future (clinical) music therapy research studies.
