Rikke Kristine Nielsen presents the results of a case study of research-end user inclusion in academic conferences, a NOCA/CBS Executive practitioner study trip to an AoM Annual Meeting. Based on survey data, participant and participating observation, interviews with 20 managerial and HR practitioners participants, written statements from practitioners as well as pre- and post-conference knowledge sharing workshops, Rikke will share insights on the motivations, expectations, contributions and outcomes of practitioner conference participation as seen by practitioner participants.
