Beskrivelse

In Denmark, a government program is seeking to transform neighborhoods in a radical new way. The government is tearing down or selling off social housing units in neighborhoods where more than half the population is of “non-Western” origin. While the program is widely supported in the Scandinavian country known for it's progressive welfare system, critics say this program focuses on helping everyone but the residents of these neighborhoods. The World's Carol Hills speaks to one such critic, Rikke Skovgaard Nielsen, a senior researcher at Aalborg University in Denmark.
