DRL conducts research in 1) modelling, navigation, guidance, and sensoring for advanced application of unmanned aircraft, such as high precision, slung load, multiple aircraft coordination, close proximity to structures, long range, and 2) quantitative methods for safety analysis and risk management for both ground and air risk. The focus is on larger, outdoor aircraft for industrial and commercial use.
