Abstract

This chapter explores and discusses the role of information gate keepers such as Google in access to reliable information about religions. Search engine algorithms seem to enhance access to familiar worldview information based on prior search engine activity. At the same time this bias limits access to information about unfamiliar worldvies, e.g. religions. This bias is ethically problematic in the perspective of free and unbiased access to information about religion .
