Kristina Tornbjerg Eriksen is a Danish techno-anthropologist (M.Sc. in 2014, B.Sc. Sociology in 2012) and researcher at the research group Techno-Anthropology and Participation (TAPAR) at Aalborg University. As techno-anthropologist, she addresses complex societal challenges evolving around the interplay between humans, technology and context. She holds a Ph.D. in Human-Robot Interaction (2023).
Kristina Tornbjerg Eriksen's research evolves around digital technologies in healthcare contexts. Her particular focus is human-robot collaboration in hospitals which she approaches from a sociotechnical point of view. She investigates how robots intersect with organizational structures, workflow processes, social and contextual factors.
The techno-anthropological research approach allows her to provide a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the collaboration between humans and robots and in 2024, her work was selected among the top 5 of the defended Ph.D. projects in Denmark in 2023.
