Abstract

The professionalisation of academic and educational developers (and their respective tasks) has been discussed for some time, already. In the following contribution we provide an overview over the state of research and current perspective of this phenomenon. We are inviting educational developers and researcher into professions alike to critically scrutinise the understanding of education development as a profession in the light of professionalisation theory and professional politics.
