Connecting Language and Speech in Intelligent Human Robot Interaction

Intelligent Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) for industrial robots manipulation is highly desired in recent years. Task-completion experience and user experience are critical factors for designing such HRI. It is crucial to design an intelligent, user-friendly, and human aware HRI while enjoying high task-completion experience.

This project aims to develop a novel, artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant which introduces linguistic abilities to industrial robots. It will enable the robots to understand, perform and reason manufacturing tasks via natural dialogue with human operators.
