Abstract

Human AI Centricity and data unveil an array of legitimacy challenges. With a multitude of data formats, such challenges may be difficult to depict and manage effectively. To address the issue, this article proposes a typology for data (Me Data, My Data, Our Data, Proprietary Data) around AI-Centric and Human-Centric dimensions. The proposed framework serves as a novel tool for framing the legitimacy challenges of human AI Centricity and data. Findings indicate a need of a proper regulatory approach in order to achieve the goal of removing barriers to the free flow of personal data within the European Union. The legitimacy challenges of data and Human Ai Centricity and its vulnerabilities must be identified, assessed, and mitigated appropriately. This will facilitate the implementation of the new data and AI regulatory provisions, the development of explicit cooperation mechanisms, the transcendence of technological boundaries, and the development of transparent relationships based on European values.
