Abstract

Despite their rich history of racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity, the Nordic countries are still frequently portrayed as racially homogeneous. The term racialization refers to the social processes through which individuals or groups of people are ascribed racial meanings. Research shows that children from racially minoritized groups suffer marginalization due to racialization taking place in schools.
